  1. Thank you for stopping by EWI and liking my post. I’m interested to learn more about doing book reviews? Can you share more details?

    1. Excellent! The best thing to do is send me an email (jackewilsonauthor@gmail.com) with your preferred format – e-book or paperback. If it’s a paperback, you should also send a mailing address; if it’s e-book, your email will be fine, though you should let me know if you prefer Kindle format or something else. If you have a preference of The Race (politician in the aftermath of a scandal) or The Promotion (lawyer in charge of recruiting goes crazy), let me know. Reviews can be posted anywhere you like – your own blog, Amazon, another retailer, Goodreads, etc. Thanks for reaching out, and good luck!

  32. Thank you for liking my post. Even more, thank you for some great marketing tips that I see, just looking at your blogs. Writers have an uphill battle. We are, after all, wordsmiths but taking this skill and turning it on the dreadful task of shameless self promotion is another step entirely. Thanks, I think I’ll follow.

    1. I’ve found the trick to self-promotion is to give away as many free copies as you can afford. But I agree – it’s an uphill battle, and it’s still “dreadful” no matter what you do. But better than the alternative! At least you get to have complete control.

  38. Free review copies of your books are a great idea. It’s hard to get started. (They always say, the first million’s the hardest.) Have you had much success generating reviews?

    Like

    1. Yes! I’ve been very lucky to have had some great reviewers take a look. And the reviews have been great – very smart, very incisive, and positive and encouraging. The number of reviews is not as big as I’d like, but then again I basically started from zero a few months ago (I mean that literally – that’s when I started using this pen name), so it’s still fairly early.
